Dhaka, June 12 -- A man travelling in an autorickshaw has died after a paddy-laden truck slammed into it in Netrokona's Kalmakanda Upazila.

The accident occurred at Gutura Graveyard road around 10:45pm on Thursday, leaving three others injured, said Sub-Inspector (SI) Ferdous Alam of Kalmakanda Police Station.

The victim, Md Nur Alam, 28, was a native of Shouljan village.

The injured are Haji Rafiqul Islam, 60, Shanto Shankar, 38, and Antar Saha, 27.

They are undergoing treatment at Mymensingh Medical College Hospital.

SI Alam said the autorickshaw carrying four passengers was travelling to Kalmakanda Bazar from Rajur Bazar when the oncoming truck smashed into it on the way.
