Dhaka, May 1 -- A Malaysian court has charged a military officer with the murder of a 22-year-old Bangladeshi content creator in a car accident in Kuala Lumpur, reports the Straits Times.

Judge Illi Marisqa Khalizan of the Magistrate's Court passed the order on Thursday in the presence of the suspect Jad Faid Arhan, a 31-year-old captain.

Arhan, however, did not react when the charge was read out to him.

According to the report, no plea was recorded despite murder charges falling under the jurisdiction of the High Court.

The deceased, Muzahid Millad, had travelled with his wife, Nafisa Tabassum Adiba, 20, from Habiganj for a week-long vacation, marking their second visit to Malaysia on Apr 23.
