Dhaka, March 30 -- The makers of the "Harry Potter" series have already begun developing Season 2, even as the first season is yet to be released, signalling plans to avoid long gaps between instalments.

According to The Times of India, HBO's network chief Casey Bloys has confirmed that the creative team is already working on the next chapter.

It said the move is aimed at maintaining momentum, especially with a young cast at the centre of the story.

"Our goal is to not have a huge gap, you know, especially because the kids are growing," Bloys said. However, he added that the series will not follow a strict annual release cycle due to its "massive scale".
