Dhaka, March 30 -- Speaker Hafiz Uddin Ahmad's wife Prof Dilara Hafiz has been presented with her a final floral farewell.

Her body was taken to the South Plaza of the National Parliament from 12pm to 12:45pm on Monday.

Khan Md Nurul Amin, secretary of the President's Office, first laid a wreath on behalf of President Mohammed Shahabuddin on the coffin wrapped in black cloth. Then Prime Minister Tarique Rahman paid his respects.

Speaker Hafiz Uddin Ahmad, Leader of the Opposition Shafiqur Rahman and Deputy Speaker Kayser Kamal then presented wreaths separately.
