Japanese delegation, PM Tarique discuss investment
Dhaka, June 3 -- A delegation led by Makoto Sato, chief executive and vice-president for the Asia Pacific region of Mitsui & Co, one of Japan's largest trading and investment companies, has met Prime Minister Tarique Rahman.
The meeting took place at the Prime Minister's Office at the Secretariat on Wednesday morning, his Deputy Press Secretary Mostafa Zulfiquar Hasan said.
"The representatives discussed prospects for expanding investment in various sectors in Bangladesh," he added.
The four-member delegation also included Takanobu Murayama, chief strategy officer of the Asia Pacific Business Unit; Kenichiro Kawamoto, country chairperson of Mitsui Bangladesh; and Md Moniruzzaman, deputy general manager of the company's Dhaka office.
