Dhaka, March 15 -- Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has urged countries not to widen the conflict triggered by the US-Israeli campaign, warning that further escalation could deepen instability across the Middle East and the strategic Strait of Hormuz.
The remarks came during a phone conversation with French Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrot, held on Thursday to discuss the impact of the war on the wider region, per reports by Al Jazeera.
According to Iran's foreign ministry, Araghchi said the actions of the United States and Israel were the "only factor" driving growing insecurity in the region and in the Strait of Hormuz.
