Indian High Commissioner Trivedi meets PM Tarique
Dhaka, Aug. 10 -- India's newly appointed High Commissioner to Bangladesh, Dinesh Trivedi, has paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Tarique Rahman.
The meeting took place at 11am on Monday at the prime minister's office in the Secretariat, said Jahidul Islam Rony, deputy press secretary to the prime minister.
"The Indian high commissioner met Prime Minister Tarique Rahman," Rony said.
"It was a courtesy meeting, and they discussed bilateral relations between the two countries."
It was Trivedi's first meeting with the prime minister.
Foreign Minister Khalilur Rahman and the prime minister's Foreign Affairs Adviser Humayun Kabir were present at the meeting.
