Dhaka, April 20 -- A festive atmosphere has descended and preparations are complete as Bogura awaits the arrival of its native son, Prime Minister Tarique Rahman.
His Additional Press Secretary Atiqur Rahman Rumon said the prime minister is expected to arrive in Bogura by around 10:30am on Monday after travelling by road from his Gulshan residence.
Bogura District BNP President and Bogura-6 MP Rezaul Karim Badsha said the visit carries added significance this time.
"The prime minister is a son of Bogura, the pride of its people, a national leader. He has visited the district on many occasions, but this time his arrival carries a different dimension as he comes as the head of government," he added.
