Dhaka, Oct. 1 -- Home Minister Salahuddin Ahmed has said he does not know whether BNP reserved-seat MP Ferdousy Ahmed Mishti has resigned over the attack, vandalism and looting at the Radda MCH-FP Centre in Dhaka's Mirpur.

He said action would be taken against Mishti under the law if the allegations against her were initially established through an investigation.

The minister made the remarks in response to questions from journalists at an emergency press conference at the home ministry in the Secretariat on Thursday.

Asked whether Mishti had resigned, Salahuddin said, "I do not know."

He said the matter was not within his jurisdiction and that the speaker would be able to provide information on whether Mishti had submitted her resign...
