Dhaka, June 4 -- Two construction workers have been killed after a hillside gave way at a culvert building site in Cox's Bazar's Darianagar.

Another worker has been seriously injured in the incident.

The accident occurred around 11:30am on Thursday near the Marine Fisheries and Wildlife Research Centre of the Chattogram Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, according to Syed Md Morshed Hossain, deputy assistant director of Fire Service and Civil Defence in Cox's Bazar.

Abdul Khalek, who was outside the morgue of Cox's Bazar Sadar Hospital, said the dead were his cousin Mohammad Elias and his nephew Md Rakib.

The injured worker Md Shahjahan is also a relative.
