Dhaka, April 30 -- The High Court (HC) has summoned Pravath Chandra Biswas, director general of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), to appear in person and explain the repeated failure to implement court orders over staff recruitment.
A bench comprising Justice Fahmida Quader and Justice Asif Hasan passed the order on Thursday following a hearing on a contempt of court petition.
The DG has been directed to appear before the court on May 19.
Advocate Siddiqullah Mia represented the petitioners during the proceedings.
The case stems from the final results of a recruitment exam for employees under the DGHS, published on Mar 9, 2022.
