Dhaka, April 30 -- The High Court has granted bail to former Narayanganj City Corporation mayor Salina Hayat Ivy in two murder cases.

However, she will not be released immediately as she remains under arrest in several other cases, her lawyer said.

The bench of Justice KM Zahid Sarwar and Justice Sheikh Abu Taher passed the order on Thursday.

Barrister Sara Hossain, Advocate Motahar Hossain Saju, and Advocate SM Hridoy represented Ivy during the hearing.

"The High Court has granted Salina Hayat Ivy bail in two cases today. However, she cannot be released immediately as she remains under arrest in other cases," said Advocate Saju following the order.
