Dhaka, March 10 -- The government has appointed Pravath Chandra Biswas, a professor at Dhaka Medical College (DMC), as the director general of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
The Health Services Division issued a notification on Tuesday formalising the appointment.
Pravath is a professor in the urology department of DMC.
He also serves as the vice-president of the central committee of the Doctors Association of Bangladesh (DAB), a pro-BNP physicians' organisation, and as the secretary of the Bangladesh Association of Urology Society.
