Dhaka, April 26 -- The government has appointed new directors general to 11 departments and agencies, including the Directorate General of Food and the Department of Environment, as part of an ongoing administrative shake-up.

New chairmen have also been appointed to three authorities.

The Ministry of Public Administration issued the notifications on Sunday.

Since taking office, the BNP government has been making appointments and reshuffling senior officials across government institutions, law enforcement agencies and other public offices.

The latest round of changes has now reached the top posts of those departments, agencies and authorities.
