Dhaka, May 4 -- The government has decided to change the Bangladesh Police uniform, bringing khaki back into service after around 22 years.
Under the revised design, shirt colours for metropolitan and national police will remain unchanged, but all personnel will now wear khaki trousers.
Home Minister Salahuddin Ahmed made the announcement at the ministry on Monday.
"There is dissatisfaction with the present police uniform across the country. Visibly, it is not suitable. On the request of the police force, we have considered the matter," he said.
