Dhaka, March 15 -- The government is withdrawing the fuel rationing system for petrol, octane, and diesel to ensure smooth travel during the Eid-ul-Fitr holidays.
Energy ministry officials said filling stations across the country will resume normal supply and sales from Sunday.
A media briefing is scheduled for 10:30am on Sunday to officially announce the move.
Energy Division Joint Secretary Monir Hossain Chowdhury confirmed the decision to bdnews24.com.
Earlier on Saturday, Road Transport and Bridges Minister Shaikh Rabiul Alam hinted at the decision during a visit to bus terminals.
