Dhaka, June 3 -- The government is moving to bring all English-medium schools in Bangladesh under a unified policy framework, State Minister for Primary and Mass Education Bobby Hajjaj has said.

The initiative aims to ensure educational standards, quality teaching, student safety, accountability and the protection of national interests, he said.

Hajjaj spoke during a visit to a student exhibition at the Aga Khan Academy in the Bashundhara Residential Area of Dhaka on Wednesday, according to the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education.

At present, English-medium schools operating under foreign curricula at the secondary and higher secondary levels are required to register with education boards to conduct academic activities.
