Dhaka, March 25 -- Pressure at filling stations across Bangladesh remains high despite the withdrawal of rationing, with shortages, closures, and limited sales reported in different areas.

To bridge the gap between demand and supply, the Energy and Mineral Resources Division has launched daily coordination meetings with deputy commissioners (DCs) starting Wednesday.

It will be held alongside its routine sessions with the heads of state-run distributors -- Padma Oil, Meghna Petroleum, and Jamuna Oil.

The move aims to quickly detect and address field-level shortages.

Officials said the meetings, led by Joint Secretary Monir Hossain Chowdhury, review supply conditions daily.
