Bangladesh, May 25 -- The government has promoted three officials to secretary rank during the Eid-ul-Azha holidays as the BNP administration continues major bureaucratic reshuffles.

Among them, home ministry Additional Secretary Md Ataur Rahman Khan has been given charge of the commerce ministry.

At the same time, promoted Mymensingh Divisional Commissioner Farah Shammi was made secretary for coordination and reforms at the Cabinet Division.

The other promoted additional secretary is agriculture ministry Additional Secretary Nasir-ud-Doula. The government has made him the chairman of the Trade and Tariff Commission.
