Dhaka, May 4 -- The government is planning to introduce a One-Stop Service to reduce harassment faced by migrant workers and raise the loan ceiling to Tk 500,000 for those seeking overseas jobs and returnees.
Expatriates' Welfare State Minister Nurul Haque Nur outlined the plans to journalists on Monday after discussions on the ministry at the District Commissioners' (DC) Conference.
Highlighting a 180-day roadmap, he said the initiative aligns with the prime minister's directives and the government's election manifesto to ensure hassle-free services for expatriates.
"Our key goals include reducing migration costs and ensuring a one-stop solution for expatriates," he said.
