Dhaka, April 21 -- Members of Parliament (MPs) will now be provided with dedicated, well-furnished spaces at Upazila Parishad complexes to facilitate their official work within their constituencies.

The Local Government Division issued a directive on Tuesday to set up these spaces, officially designated as "inspection rooms".

According to the order, for existing Upazila Parishad complexes, a room on the first floor must be prepared with high-quality furniture and washroom facilities.

For new complexes currently under construction or planning, the design must include such a room on the first floor.
