Gas output climbs as twin LNG terminals in Moheshkhali reach 90% capacity
Bangladesh, Sept. 15 -- LNG supply from Moheshkhali's two floating terminals has risen, pushing Bangladesh's total gas supply to 2,610 million cubic feet per day (mmcfd).
Petrobangla data shows the regasified LNG (RLNG) supply stood at 990mmcfd at noon on Tuesday, with domestic fields supplying 1,620mmcfd.
Total supply was 2,362mmcfd at 8pm on Monday, with RLNG at 762mmcfd then. Supply rose 248mmcfd over the next 16 hours, 228mmcfd of it from RLNG.
The jump came Monday night. After 9pm, Excelerate Energy's Moheshkhali LNG (MLNG) terminal raised supply to 500mmcfd, while Summit LNG (SLNG) delivered 480mmcfd, taking combined terminal output to 980mmcfd.
By 10pm, total supply had climbed to 2,582mmcfd, with domestic gas at 1,602mmcfd.
