Dhaka, Oct. 2 -- The application deadline for the 2026-27 Fulbright Visiting Scholar Program has been extended, giving experienced Bangladeshi professionals more time to apply for postdoctoral research or teaching stints at US institutions.

Applications are now due by 11:59pm on Saturday, Oct 31, Bangladesh time, the US Embassy in Dhaka said in an announcement.

Selected scholars will receive a six-to-nine-month research or lecturing grant starting in September 2027, spanning an academic semester to a full academic year.

University faculty members, researchers at think-tanks and relevant government and non-government organisations, and other professionals with at least 10 years of experience can apply.
