Dhaka, Oct. 3 -- The Fulbaria bus terminal in the capital's Gulistan will be relocated to Chunkutia in Keraniganj within the next three months as part of efforts to ease traffic congestion, Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Commissioner Mosleh Uddin Ahmed has said.

Speaking to journalists on Saturday while inspecting traffic-management improvement work at the Mohakhali terminal, he said construction had already begun on a depot on a 4.05-hectare site in the Jhilmil Residential Area at Chunkutia.

Once completed, buses currently operating from Fulbaria and Gulistan will be shifted to the new facility.

Mosleh said the relocation would follow a process similar to the ongoing transfer of services from the Mohakhali terminal to Purbachal.
