Dhaka, March 28 -- The Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) has arrested three men for the brutal murder and decapitation of an easy-bike driver in Manikganj, revealing that the suspects killed their own friend to fund their drug addiction.

The victim, Rafiq Mia, a resident of Rathuria village in Gior Upazila, went missing with his vehicle on Tuesday.

His headless body was recovered from the Kaliganga River on Wednesday afternoon.

Speaking at a press conference on Saturday, PBI Superintendent of Police Joyita Shilpi confirmed the arrests of Ripon Mia, 30, Arman Hossain, 20, and Sajib Hossain, 25.
