Dhaka, March 27 -- Freedom fighter Kazi Ashraf Humayun Bangal has warned against attempts to downplay Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman's role in the Liberation War, saying the history of 1971 is impossible to tell without him.
A commander of the top-tier Kaderia force's "Hanuman Company", Ashraf described as "foolish" anyone seeking to distort the true, impartial history of the war.
Speaking during the launch of the third volume of "Bangladesh, Penned in Blood", a Liberation War-based compilation published by bdnews24.com.
Two earlier volumes have already been released.
The third volume brings together over 500 photographs from the language movement through the Liberation War under a single cover.
