Bangladesh, Aug. 14 -- Bangladesh has logged four more measles-linked deaths in the past 24 hours, alongside 187 fresh infections.

The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) said in a bulletin on Friday that 187 new measles cases were confirmed between 8am Thursday and the following morning.

The health authority has been publishing measles data since Mar 15.

The nationwide death toll stands at 99 confirmed measles patients, alongside 795 deaths among those showing symptoms of the disease.

Dhaka Division has borne the heaviest toll, with 346 symptomatic deaths, followed by Sylhet with 130.

Rajshahi recorded 91, Mymensingh 72, Chattogram 63, Barisal 47, Khulna 32 and Rangpur 14.
