Dhaka, March 26 -- Four members of a family, including a child, and their driver were killed when the private car they were travelling in collided with a bus in Cumilla's Burichang Upazila.

The accident occurred around 6pm on Thursday near the Miami Hotel on the Dhaka-Chattogram Highway, said Mainamati Crossing Highway Police chief Abdul Momin.

The family members are Abdul Momin, 50, his wife Jharna Begum, 40, their daughter Labiba, 18, and their seven-year-old son Saif, both identified by single names. They hailed from Noakhali's Sonaimuri Upazila.

Momin's elder son Abrar, 12, also identified with a single name, was injured and rushed to Mainamati Cantonment General Hospital, police said.
