Dhaka, April 26 -- A housewife has allegedly been raped after being confined in a room in Bogura's Adamdighi Upazila. Police have arrested four suspects over the incident.

The woman filed a case against five people on Friday over the alleged assault, which took place on Wednesday night, Adamdighi Police chief Kamruzzaman said.

Police conducted a raid in Santahar Municipality on Friday night and arrested four of the accused, he said.

The arrestees are Runa Begum, Shahedul Islam Shahed, Mithu Hossain and Hridoy Hossain, all from the area.

According to the case, the woman lives in a rented house in the municipality.
