Dhaka, Feb. 27 -- Abdur Razzak Bin Sulaiman Riyad, a former Students Against Discrimination leader previously accused of extortion, has been sent to jail in a new attempted murder case.
Three other students from Presidency University, Riadul Hawlader, Alif Ahmed Ashik, and Sayem Shikdaer, were also sent to prison alongside him.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Dilruba Afroz Tithi passed the order on Friday after Gulshan Police Sub-Inspector (SI) Arman Ali produced the suspects in court.
Prosecution Police SI Moktar Hossain said the court has scheduled a bail hearing for Sunday.
Police arrested the suspects around 8:30pm on Thursday.
