Dhaka, March 5 -- Appellate Division chamber judge has stayed the High Court's bail order for former Narayanganj City Corporation mayor Selina Hayat Ivy in five cases, including four related to killings during the 2024 mass uprising.

Justice Md Rezaul Haque passed the order on Thursday.

The High Court had granted Ivy six months' interim bail in these five cases on Feb 26.

However, on the same day, she was named in another case involving the murder of one Selim Mondal.

The former mayor remains in prison as her bail application in the Selim murder case was rejected by a court on Thursday.
