Dhaka, May 2 -- A Dhaka court has granted police another three days to interrogate Afzal Naser, a former director of the Directorate General of Forces Intelligence (DGFI), in connection with the murder of Mahamudul Hasan during the July Uprising in 2024.
Metropolitan Magistrate Mehedi Hasan passed the order for the fourth consecutive spell of questioning of the former army officer, according to Prosecution Police Sub-Inspector Shamim Hossain.
The former lieutenant colonel, who served as a DGFI director from 2006 to 2008, was apprehended by the Detective Branch in Mirpur DOHS in the early hours of Mar 30.
