Former Awami League MP Sabina Akter Tuhin falls ill during court hearing
Dhaka, June 17 -- Former Awami League reserved seat lawmaker Sabina Akter Tuhin has fallen ill in the courtroom during the hearing of a sedition case.
She complained of diabetes, heart problems, and blood pressure in the court of Dhaka Additional Metropolitan Sessions Judge Mohammad Moin Uddin Chowdhury on Wednesday.
The case against Tuhin was filed last year on charges of "undermining the interim government and participating in anti-state activities" by joining a Zoom meeting of the "Joy Bangla Brigade", a pro-Awami League platform.
It was filed on Mar 27 last year by CID Assistant Superintendent of Police Enamul Haque against 73 individuals over allegations of sedition.
