Dhaka, April 4 -- Former fisheries and livestock advisor Farida Akhter has come down heavily on the prime minister's wife Zubaida Rahman for attending a conference in Washington at the invitation of US First Lady Melania Trump.

Farida made the criticism at a discussion in Dhaka University on Saturday, saying Zubaida could have protested the killings of children in Iran in the event.

Zubaida attended the two-day "Fostering the Future Together Global Coalition Summit" at White House on Mar 26, where first ladies and wives of state leaders from more than 45 countries around the world participated.
