Dhaka, March 19 -- Inclement weather has forced five flights bound for Dhaka to divert to Chattogram's Shah Amanat International Airport, disrupting both international and domestic operations.
The affected flights landed at Chattogram airport between late afternoon and 10pm on Wednesday.
No departures from Chattogram to Dhaka were reported until 11pm, said airport spokesperson Mohammad Ibrahim Khalil.
Three US-Bangla Airlines flights -- Singapore-Dhaka, Male-Dhaka, and Cox's Bazar-Dhaka -- were among those rerouted, alongside a Novoair service from Syedpur to Dhaka.
An Air Astra flight operating between Chattogram and Dhaka also returned to the port city after encountering severe weather.
