Dhaka, May 15 -- A man has died from his injuries following a gas leak explosion in Narayanganj's Fatullah, leaving behind his three sons who were also burnt in the same incident.

The victim, 50-year-old Abdul Kader, passed away at 10:45am on Friday, according to Shawon Bin Rahman, a resident surgeon at the National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery.

Kader, an autorickshaw driver by profession, had suffered burns to 57 percent of his body.

The blast took place on Monday morning at a rented house in Kutubpur Rakhibazar, near Shibu Market.

Kader's three sons -- identified by single names as Mehedi, Sakib and Rakib, aged 17, 16 and 16 -- are still undergoing treatment at the same hospital.
