Dhaka, June 7 -- Law Minister Md Asaduzzaman has expressed hope that the death sentences handed down to the convicts in the rape and murder case of child Ramisa Akter can be carried out within the next three months.

He also said discussions have been held with the chief justice on the speedy disposal of the death reference and appeal proceedings in the murder case.

According to the minister, if the relevant bench of the Supreme Court gives the case priority and follows the proper legal procedures, "it will be possible to complete the process for executing the final verdict in this case within the next three months."
