Dhaka, April 12 -- A Dhaka court has placed former director general of the Directorate General of Forces Intelligence (DGFI) retired lieutenant general Sheikh Mamun Khaled on a fresh one-day remand in connection with the 2022 killing of BNP activist Mokbul Hossain.
In the same case, former DGFI director retired lieutenant colonel Md Afzal Naser was placed on a two-day remand.
Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Md Sefatullah passed the orders after the duo was produced in court following the completion of their previous remand terms.
The investigation officer, Detective Branch Sub-Inspector Kafil Uddin, had sought a one-day remand for Mamun and a five-day remand for Naser.
