Dhaka, July 1 -- Police officers on duty at Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examination centres will use body cameras to ensure security, Education Minister ANM Ehsanul Hoque Milon has said.

Addressing a press conference at the education ministry on Wednesday, Milon said the move is aimed at preventing the entry of outsiders at the centres.

A total of 1,270,583 students are sitting for their HSC and equivalent examinations from Thursday.

The examinations are being held at 2,697 centres across the country. The written examinations of the nine general boards and the Madrasah board will end on Aug 8, while the practical examinations will continue until Aug 15.
