Dhaka, Feb. 27 -- Education Minister ANM Ehsanul Hoque Milan has warned of strict administrative and legal action against teachers who have engaged in other professions without prior permission.

The minister issued the warning on Friday afternoon while speaking to reporters in his constituency in Chandpur-1.

Milon, returned by a wide margin in the general election, holds responsibility for both the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education.

He emphasised that the government has taken a "zero-tolerance" stance to ensure discipline and accountability in educational institutions.
