Dhaka, May 5 -- The Election Commission (EC) has issued a gazette naming Nusrat Tabassum Jyoti of the National Citizen Party (NCP) for a reserved women's seat in the 13th parliament.
Returning Officer EC Joint Secretary Moin Uddin Khan said, "The candidate was declared elected unopposed on Monday. Then, the gazette was issued after receiving the approval of the commission."
The Parliament Secretariat will take the next steps in arranging her swearing-in ceremony after it receives a copy of the gazette.
Nusrat's election means that gazettes have been issued for all 50 women's reserved seats for the 13th parliament.
