Dhaka, May 4 -- Eastern University, in association with the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, has organised a day-long workshop on Trafficking in Persons (TIP) and Smuggling of Migrants (SOM) at its Rezakul Haider Hall.
The programme titled "Building a Youth Network for a Better Future" was held under the project Preventing and Addressing Trafficking in Human Beings and the Smuggling of Migrants, funded by the European Union and supported by the Ministry of Home Affairs.
Students from public and private universities, particularly those studying law, criminology, sociology, political science and related disciplines, took part in the workshop.
