Dhaka, May 14 -- East West University has organised an orientation event for around 2,200 newly admitted students for the Summer Semester 2026.

The event was held at its Aftabnagar campus on Thursday.

The sessions were arranged by different departments to familiarise freshers with the university's academic environment, code of conduct, and available facilities, including scholarship opportunities.

Chairperson of the Board of Trustees and former Bangladesh Bank governor Mohammed Farashuddin attended the event alongside Vice-Chancellor Shams Rahman, Pro-Vice Chancellor Ashik Mosaddik and Treasurer Ishfaq Ilahi Choudhury.

Deans, department chairpersons, faculty members and students also joined the event.
