Dhaka, June 10 -- Bangladesh's economy appears to have regained some momentum in the outgoing fiscal year, with provisional estimates putting GDP growth at 4.14 percent, slightly higher than the previous year's pace.

The estimate would push per capita income above the $3,000 mark for the first time, reaching a record $3,020, or nearly Tk 370,000.

Releasing the figures on Wednesday, the Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics (BBS) said final calculations for fiscal year 2024-25 put per capita income at $2,769, or nearly Tk 335,000.

The latest estimates were prepared using available data and information following the publication of the final GDP figures for the previous fiscal year, the agency said.
