Dhaka, March 21 -- Around 30 people have been injured in Habiganj's Nabiganj Upazila as two groups clashed over the "photographing and recording" two girls.

The brawl erupted around 11am on Saturday as the groups attacked each other after Eid prayers with local weapons, lasting for two hours, said Nabiganj Police chief Monayem Mia.

He said the injured were sent to Bahubal Upazila Health Complex and Habiganj Sadar Hospital.

A young man allegedly photographed and filmed the two girls in the morning, Monayem said.

Tensions flared between the two sides as the matter came to light, he added.

The situation was brought under control after a police team from the Goplar Bazar outpost rushed to the scene.
