Dhaka, April 6 -- As the monsoon approaches, Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) is planning the integrated use of different insecticides to tackle dengue outbreaks.

DNCC Administrator Md Shafiqul Islam Khan said on Monday that decisions will be made "based on these results".

He also stressed the need for a public awareness campaign to strengthen community participation in mosquito control.

The remarks came during a meeting of DNCC's technical committee on mosquito control, held at the corporation's main office to review ongoing dengue efforts and plan future measures.

According to the DNCC, the meeting focused on selecting new and more effective insecticides as the main agenda.
