Dhaka, April 10 -- The Bangladeshi woman killed in an Israeli airstrike on a residential building in Lebanon had gone to the Middle Eastern country for a better life just two years ago, says an official in Faridpur, the victim's birthplace.
Charbhadrasan Upazila administrator (UNO) Shuraiya Mamtaz on Friday night said they learnt the matter locally, pledging the victim's family to help bring her body back soon.
"We will provide all possible assistance to the family to bring the corpse back to the country," she said.
The victim, identified only as Dipali, died on Wednesday at Hamra in the Lebanese capital of Beirut, where she was staying with her employer's family, the Bangladesh Embassy said.
