Dhaka, April 3 -- A Dhaka University student found unconscious at a house in Dhaka's Hazaribagh has been declared dead after he was taken to the hospital.

The deceased has been identified as 25-year-old Saidul Amin Shimanto, a final-year student in the Department of Chemistry.

He hailed from Birgaon village in Narsingdi's Monohardi Thana.

Shimanto rented a flat on the ground floor of a five-storey building on Hazaribagh's Maneshwar Road with friends.

He was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital around 1:30am on Friday, where the doctor on duty declared him dead, according to Hazaribagh Police Station Sub-Inspector Md Jahid Hossain.
