Dhaka, March 10 -- The Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) has going to to remove illegal ticket counters and "modernise" terminal management to ensure a smooth journey for home-bound passengers before Eid-ul-Fitr.

The decision was finalised during a preparatory meeting at Nagar Bhaban on Tuesday, according to DSCC spokesperson Russell Rahman.

Outlining the meeting's resolutions, he said: "The DSCC is taking special measures to modernise terminal management, evict illegal counters, and improve infrastructure to mitigate passenger suffering and ensure congestion-free roads."

The meeting resolved that notices will be issued to all illegitimate ticket counters along the road from the slope of Sayedabad Bridge to TT Para.
