Dhaka, March 15 -- A nor'wester may hit Dhaka and nearby areas, accompanied by rain, thundershowers and possible gusty winds, according to the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD).
On Sunday, the BMD said the weather may turn rough in and around the capital between 1pm and 6pm.
Winds from the west or northwest may blow at 10-15 kmph, with gusts temporarily rising to 40-50 kmph, according to the forecast.
Meteorologist Shahnaz Sultana said that the conditions had developed under the influence of northerly or northwesterly winds.
That may bring gusty winds along with rain or thundershowers in Dhaka, she added.
The five-day forecast also points to wider unsettled weather across the country.
